Requirements for the Master of Education Degree: In addition to the general admission requirements, students must complete a minimum of 33 hours to include 18 semester hours of educational technology courses; six semester hours of educational technology electives; and nine semester hours from the College of Education and Health Professions common core. Specific requirements are listed below.
Additionally, a Culminating Student Portfolio must be successfully completed during the last three hours of coursework and will replace the Graduate School requirement of a comprehensive examination.
There are no on-campus requirements for the completion of this degree, although approved courses that meet the college core requirements may be taken on campus if desired.
Degree Requirements: (33 hours)
1. College of Education and Health Professions Core: 9 hours
2. Educational Technology Core: 18 hours
3. Educational Technology Electives: 6 hours
4. Culminating Student Portfolio: Completed during the last 3 hours of coursework.
